Welcome to DisclaimIt 3.3. Please refer to these release notes to obtain the most up-to-date information about installation, documentation, support, and other known issues.
IMPORTANT Licenses
for DisclaimIt 1.x or 2.x are not valid for DisclaimIt 3.3 and must be upgraded to
DisclaimIt 3.x licenses. For more information, please see
http://www.netal.com/disclaimit3x.htm.
DisclaimIt 3.3 contains the following new features:
IMPORTANT If DisclaimIt is used on an Exchange
2000 server, Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3 and Update Rollup
for Exchange 2000 (KB870540) must be installed.
Note This version of DisclaimIt is not supported on a
server with Exchange 2007 installed.
Warning When
the DisclaimIt Services feature is uninstalled, all IIS services
will be restarted. This may pose a problem in case that MS Exchange 2003
is installed on the computer: Because some MXS services (including the Microsoft
Exchange Information Store service in case of MS Exchange 2000,
but no longer in case of MS Exchange 2003) are dependent on the IIS
Admin Service, they will also be restarted and product functionality will
be temporarily disrupted.
IMPORTANT Licenses
for DisclaimIt 1.x or 2.x are not valid for DisclaimIt 3.3 and must be upgraded to
DisclaimIt 3.x licenses. For more information, please see
http://www.netal.com/disclaimit3x.htm.
Note If
you loaded the DisclaimIt Manager MMC-Snap-In of DisclaimIt 1.x,
2.x or 3.x into
custom MMC consoles (.MSC), these consoles will no longer work. You must add the
new DisclaimIt Manager MMC-Snap-In again to your custom MMC consoles.
Note The
IIS Admin Service and all its dependent
services will be restarted during the uninstallation of the previous version.
Warning On
a computer where MS Exchange 2000/2003 is installed, restarting the IIS
Admin Service will also restart services of MS Exchange 2000/2003.
This includes the Microsoft Exchange
Information Store service in case of MS Exchange 2000 (this is no
longer the case with MS Exchange 2003).
The message processing engine of DisclaimIt is implemented as an IIS SMTP service extension and is not dependent on MS Exchange 2000/2003 but is usually installed and used along with MS Exchange 2000/2003 on the same computer. In case that you want to deploy DisclaimIt in an MS Exchange 2003 environment, please note the following:
IMPORTANT If DisclaimIt is used on an Exchange
2000 server, Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3 and Update Rollup
for Exchange 2000 (KB870540) must be installed.
